The KatieTwigg Birthing Gown  meets all obstetric/medical and personal eventualities, both in a hospital and home environment.

It can be worn in theatre for a Cesarean Section for example, as the easy-snap plastic fasteners (poppers) are arranged in a such a way as to give easy access to the mother’s chest area. The mother can have immediate skin to skin contact with her baby without altering her position or disturbing the surgeon’s work.

The KatieTwigg Birthing Gown combines the best features of a maternity nightdress and those of a hospital gown, with added extras that enable the wearer to feel confident and comfortable. The KatieTwigg Birthing Gown is designed to offer comfort, warmth and helps to maintain dignity and privacy as well as being fit for purpose. 

Side Access Poppers down the side allow easy access to the abdomen whilst the rest of the body remains covered, maintaining warmth and modesty.

Individual Chest Panels can be undone to expose one side of the breast at a time for breast feeding. The design ensures that no material is pressing on or around the breast. When fastened up this drop down front acts like a blanket covering the baby whilst having skin to skin contact/ breast feeding. It also preserves skin flora helping baby to fight infection.

Roll Up Back Panel enables exposure of the back for T.E.N.S machines, massage and medical procedures such as epidurals. The front of the gown will remain in place maintaining warmth and modesty.

Sleeves Undo from the gown front, allowing easy access for blood pressure cuffs, hygiene needs and intravenous line management.

Detachable Gown Front giving total access to the entire abdomen and chest area and makes changing out of the gown easy. Should you wish, a fresh front panel can be attached with minimum disruption.
